Explore our focused Tajweed course designed fIslamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh)is one of the important branches of Islamic studies. In teaching this curriculum, the student has to study 4 levels: introductory, beginner, intermediate and advanced, beginning with the jurisprudence of worship, which includes prayer, zakat, fasting, and Hajj, and ending with the jurisprudence of transactions, which includes many branches: the jurisprudence of personal status, the jurisprudence of contemporary financial transactions and that of crimes. This curriculum relies on scientific sources approved by Jamia Daruloloom Karachi, L Azhar, International Islamic University of Madina, and scientifically recognized references taught at universities.

Description

Fiqh has 4 levels:

• Level 1 Introductory:

It is directed to the age of 6 years or beginners in learning jurisprudence, it includes general things in Islam, veneration of the Noble Qur’an, the Prophet’s biography, dealing with others, the jurisprudence of prayer, honoring one’s parents, and etiquettes for defecation.

• Level 2 Beginner:

It focuses on purity rules, hygiene, the validity of ablution conditions, washing and tayammum, prayer various rules and its validity, and dealing with people etiquette.

• Level 3 Intermediate:

It focuses on ṭahāra(purity) rules, types of water, ablution, ghusl, tayammum, prayer pillars, the call to prayer, and the Sunnah; the student ends up studying funeral prayer rules.

• Level 4 Advanced:

A student studies Al-Azhar curricula, the 4 well-known opinions of jurisprudence: Al-Maliki, Hanafi, Shafi’i and Hanbali, the jurisprudence of felonies and personal statuses, jurisprudence origins, deducing rules and considered sources in Islamic jurisprudence, deriving evidence and applying it in life situations.

Scholars from Islam’s most prestigious universities Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt — Jamia Daruoloom Karachi Pakistan and International Islamic University of Madina Saudi Arabia designed the Fiqh Principles course as a comprehensive solution for students who wish to learn more about Islamic jurisprudence, regardless of their current level of understanding. Whether you are looking for a basic knowledge of Fiqh or you want to look deeper into the topic, you’ll grow in your knowledge by taking Fiqh Principles. Fiqh Principles has four levels — Introductory, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites vary according to the stage the student will join, his age, and his Arabic or English language proficiency.

• Introductory Level Prerequisites:

A learner should be at least 6 years old.

• Beginner Level Prerequisites:

A student should be at least 9 years old. A learner should pass a test confirming: he can read and write. And study the Five Pillars of Islam in general.

• Intermediate Level Prerequisites:

A student should be at least 15 years old. A learner should pass a test confirming that he can read and write in Arabic or English.

• Advanced Level Prerequisites:

A student should be at least 16 years old. A student should be able to read, write and explain what is read. A student should be able to elicit rules and apply in real life.

Level 1 Introductory

Level 1 — Introductory The Introductory level is perfect for students who are first-time learners of Islamic jurisprudence. The content of this level includes general Islamic topics like the veneration of the Noble Quran, the biography of the Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him), the jurisprudence of prayer, dealing with others, honoring one’s own parents and defecation etiquette. Students must be at least 6 years old to qualify for Level.
After completing the Introductory level of Fiqh Principles, students will learn about the following:
• Glorifying the Quran and the etiquette of its recitation
• The honesty and faithfulness of the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH)
• The etiquettes of saying Salam
• Honoring one’s parents
• Defecation etiquettes
• Teachers’ rights

Level 2 Beginner


LEVELS: 3
Introductory Fiqh:
Level 2 — Beginner The Beginner level covers purity rules, washing and tayammum, hygiene, ablution conditions and their validity, the validity and rules of prayer and the etiquette of dealing with people. You must be at least 9 years old to take the Beginner level. You must also pass a test confirming you can read and write, as well as have a general ability to study the Five Pillars of Islam.
Here is a closer look at the three sections of the Beginner level of the Fiqh Principles course:
Fiqh Beginner 1: This section focuses on 7-year-old students. It teaches about the rules of dealing with people and hygiene, both personal and public.
Fiqh Beginner 2: This section focuses on 9-year-old students. It teaches about the rules of prayer and purity, ablution conditions, ghusl, tayammum and the validity and rules of prayer, whether the prayers are voluntary or obligatory.
Fiqh Beginner 3: This section focuses on students ages 10 and up. It provides information on some of the rulings regarding congregational prayer. These include the Friday prayer, the rain prayer, the two Eid prayers and the funeral prayer.

Level 1:

Fiqh beginner 1: This curriculum is directed to the students at the age of seven and aims to learn some rules of the public and personal hygiene and dealing with people.

Level 2:

Fiqh beginner 2 This level is directed to the students at the age of nine, the student will have learned the rules of the purity and prayer, the conditions of the ablution, ghusl, tayammum, and the validity of prayer and its rules, whether an obligatory or a voluntary prayer.

Level 3:

Fiqh beginner 3
This level is directed to the students at the age of +10 years old. By the end of this level, the student will have studied some of the rulings of prayer in congregation such as, Friday prayer, the two Eid prayers, the rain prayer and the funeral prayer.

Level 3 Intermediate

LEVELS: 3
Level 3 — Intermediate The Intermediate level gives information on tahāra (purity) rules, ablution, water types, ghusl, tayammum, prayer pillars, the Sunnah and the call to prayer. Students will also study the rules of the funeral prayer. Students must be at least 15 years old and pass a test showing they can write and read in English or Arabic to take the Intermediate level.
The sections of the Intermediate level focus on the following:
Fiqh Intermediate 1: After completing this section, students will understand the rulings of acts of worship like the Salah, Taharah, Sawm, Hajj and Zakah.
Fiqh Intermediate 2:This section has three main areas of focus. The first is the rulings of sale and usury and how choice, surety, peace and other rulings relate to them. The second includes rulings of leasing, gifts and Al-Luqatah, which means “lost and found.” The third includes rulings of family regarding divorce and marriage.
Fiqh Intermediate 3:This section also has three areas of focus. The first includes rulings for the waiting period, breastfeeding, expenses, child custody, hudud in Islam and Islamic criminal law. The second includes rulings for drinks and food. The third includes judicial rulings and certificates.

Level 1:

Fiqh intermediate 1: This level is directed to the students at the age of +10 years old. By the end of this level, the student will have learned the rulings of acts of worship such as Taharah, Salah, Zakah, Sawm and Hajj.

Level 2:

Fiqh intermediate 2: This level is directed to the students at the age of 10 years old. By the end of this level, the student will have studied 1- Rulings of sale and usury and what is related to them in terms of choice, surety, peace and other rulings of sale 2- Rulings of Leasing, Al-Luqatah (lost and found) and gift 3- Rulings of family in the Marriage and Divorce.

Level 3:

Fiqh intermediate 3: This level is directed to the students at the age of 10 years old, By the end of this level, the student will have studied the following:
1- Rulings for the waiting period, breastfeeding, expenses, child custody, Islamic criminal law, and hudud in Islam,
2- Rulings for food and drinks,
3 – Judicial rulings and certificates.

Level 4 Advanced

Level 4 — Advanced: The Advanced level takes a deeper look at the principles of Fiqh using Al-Azhar University curricula. Students must be at least 16 years old to take this section and should have the ability to read, write and explain what they read. Students must also be able to elicit rules and apply them in real life.
Here is the information covered in each section of the Advanced level of Fiqh Principles:
Fiqh Advanced 1: This section teaches students the rules of inheritance. Students will learn how to solve all issues related to this matter.
Fiqh Advanced 2: This section focuses on Islamic criminal law and related terms like Hudud, Ta’zir and the law of retribution.
Fiqh Advanced 3: This section takes a deep look at the origins and history of Fiqh rules, knowledge of evidence and its types, deduction methods and Fiqh rules and examples for these rules.

Level 1:

Fiqh advanced 1: This level is directed to the students at the age of 15 years old. By the end of this level, the student will have learned the rules of inheritance and be able to solve all the issues related to that matter.

Level 2:

Fiqh advanced 2: This level is directed to the students at the age of 15 years old, By the end of this level, the student will have studied the Islamic criminal law and the terms which are related to it such as, Hudud, Ta’zir “Punishment”, and the law of the retribution.

Level 3:

Fiqh advanced 3: This level is directed to the students at the age of 15 years old. By the end of this level, the student will be familiar with the principles of Fiqh rules according to the origins and history, and also in terms of the knowledge of the evidence and its types, methods of deduction, Fiqh rules and examples for it.
